I’ve been blogging on here since early 2003. I’m not saying that for bragging purposes. It’s simply a fact. And a lot has changed on Xanga since then. Most of the changes have been fairly recent, and as I’m figuring out all of these new features, I’m discovering that I have less free time for well, the rest of my life.
I’ve had premium before and I do like it. but I don’t always have the money. I’ve considered lifetime so many times, but as you can see, I’ve obviously never had a hundred bucks any of those times. Well, now that there are Xanga credits, you can use those to pay for premium. Except, earning credits is really tedious work. I love the idea of the surveys, but I think I’ve been able to qualify for 3, maybe 4 of them. And today, I went through the welcome wagon and left comments on 105 different Xangans sites. Only to earn just over a 1000 credits. That may sound like a lot, but as I’m sure most of you know, it costs 100,000 credits to buy lifetime premium.
Another feature I’ve just recently noticed is the TRUE badges that different users have. Now, I’m wondering how these people got the badge. More specifically, what about those users stood out to the Xanga team to prompt them into making those users more special than others. And those of you that have the badge, did you apply for it like it says you can, or was it just given to you?
I will admit that I’ve been sucked in and now want one of those badges for myself. But as I stated before, I’m already spending so much of my time on Xanga that I wonder how much more of a commitment I can make before my family decides that I’m a total loser that should never be allowed to use the internet.
I’ve been trying to branch out, read different users sites than I normally would, subscribe to people like Kween_of_the_Queens and Featured_Grownups, but honestly, if I can’t stand the featured questions on the front page (for various reasons), then what chance did I have of actually enjoying reading about people’s pets or bucket lists?

My true badge just showed up one day, I have no idea why. I guess because I’m a post whore.
Wow. I wondered what the credits were for.
