i’ve been in the greater toronto area (henceforth known as the GTA) for maybe 3 weeks now. and in that time i have shoveled the drive way at least twice a week. in the last 48 hours alone we must have gotten a foot of snow. and, we can probably expect to see snow until may. may?!?! what the hell? there’s no spring this year? we’re gonna jump right in to summer? i think this was quite possibly the worst time ever to move north.
and then, today daylight savings time started again. so half the clocks in the house are showing the correct time. the only trick is, i’m not sure which ones are right.
the kitchen is currently a demolition zone. and this poses various risks and inconveniences. the worst being that we can’t store food or cook any meals. which means, in the middle of nasty snow storms we have to venture out into the world to find food. it pretty much blows.
my husband and i are heading over to a university in neighboring town tomorrow to see if we can get him into school. i think it’s a great idea for him to go back to school, the only problem then is finding a way to bring in some cash. that, i hope, will take care of itself.
these are just a few, cursory updates i have for the moment. i have more that i want to add but my daughter is fussing and i think it’s naptime.

summer doesn’t technically start until the middle of july, i think. or june. i have forgott
Thank you for your kind comments. Your posts make me feel sane. I like reading other motherly posts…you know, stuff about chores, baby poop, and husbands. Makes me feel normal.
I live out East. I love snow, but I think I’ve had enough. I can’t wait to go to a park that doesn’t have soggy mud.
That Choo Choo Soul comment you left me made me laugh my butt off. We don’t watch Playhouse Disney much, but when we do, I like that segment.
today felt like spring started. sorry about the snow there. I think it helps people appreciate the spring and summer months much more though, don’t you?
Hello! Thanks for stopping by…nice “meeting” ya!
i love snow because i never see it. i would think i would not like seeing snow until may or having to shovel the cars out of the garage everyday. in fact i would probably have to say i wouldn’t go anywhere if i had to do that.
RYC- they are all old laws that are still on the books, and haven’t been removed. Im sure that if you take a bath on the sidewalk in any town, you would be committed to some kind of hospital. Just a thought. And about the wives thing.. yeah… I find it funny. I dont look at it as offensive… its part of culture and who we were as a society back then. I laugh at it now… because, well… not much of it applies in my relationship. lol.
I love snow… I wish the heavens would open up and shower us with a little bit of it during the winter.
We can trade, you can move to KY and I’ll move there. lol I love snow!
